Before the visit, empty affected wardrobes, wash or dry-clean what you can and seal items in bags. Clear the pantry, check each packet for webbing, clumps or small caterpillars, and bin anything affected outside. Afterwards, keep dry food in airtight containers, store wool in sealed bags or tubs, and air stored clothes and rugs now and then, as moths prefer fabric that is left undisturbed.
