Cockroaches need water, food and cover. Fix dripping taps, wipe benches before bed, keep pet food sealed and do not leave dishes in the sink overnight. Moving firewood and mulch away from the walls also helps. Avoid spraying supermarket products over gel bait, as that can make cockroaches avoid it.
